EntroGen, a leading manufacturer of cancer diagnostic products, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill a research scientist position. The job requires extensive knowledge of molecular biology, particularly with expertise in next-generation sequencing and real-time PCR assay development and optimization. Primary responsibility includes design, development and validation of new products for detection of germline and somatic mutations implicated in the pathogenesis of various cancers.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience in:
- PCR/qPCR assay development and optimization
- Custom NGS panel development and optimization
- Performing library preparation and running NGS instruments
- Bioinformatics tools for data analysis of NGS data
- Advanced molecular biology techniques
- Development of new SOP’s
- Providing technical guidance to other R&D team members
Experience with scientific writing is required. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously is required. Knowledge of regulatory compliance and understanding GMP/GLP regulated environment is a plus.
Ph.D. in molecular biology or related discipline. A successful applicant will possess above average verbal and writing skills.
