Product Overview: Mutations in the NPM1 gene, one of the most common genetic alterations in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), serve as key biomarkers for disease detection and monitoring. Studies have shown that NPM1 mutations, particularly in Type A, B, and D transcripts, are critical for assessing minimal residual disease (MRD) and predicting relapse risk. As a result, molecular testing for NPM1 mutations has become an essential component of AML management. The NPM1 Quantitative MRD Assay is a real-time PCR-based test that utilizes mutant-specific amplification and fluorescent hydrolysis probes to ensure precise and reproducible detection. This highly sensitive assay detects NPM1 mutations at a 0.001% (5-log reduction) sensitivity level, providing quantitative MRD assessment in under two hours. The assay is designed for use with RNA extracted from peripheral blood or bone marrow samples, providing researchers with a reliable tool for studying minimal residual disease in acute myeloid leukemia. The assay is able to identify minimal residual disease with exceptional precision. In tests, Type A mutations remain detectable even at the 0.001% (5-log reduction) level. This level of sensitivity is crucial for early relapse monitoring and research applications, ensuring that even minute traces of the mutation can be consistently detected. Workflow The NPM1 One-Step MRD Kit follows a simple and easy to use process. The assay is a one-step reverse transcription and qPCR assay that detects the presence of Type A, B and D transcripts in RNA isolated from peripheral blood or bone marrow samplest can be completed in less than 2 hours. EntroGenʼs NPM1 mutation screening panel requires a real-time PCR instrument capable of detecting FAM and VIC fluorescent probes. This test includes reagents required for PCR amplification/detection, as well as validated reaction controls. Equipment and Materials EntroGen’s NPM1 One-Step MRD Kit requires a real-time PCR instrument capable of detecting FAM and VIC fluorescent probes. This test includes reagents required for the PCR amplification/detection, as well as validated reaction controls. Columns and reagents for DNA isolation are not included. Intended UseEntroGen’s NPM1 One-Step MRD Kit is provided for research use only (RUO). Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Request Additional Information
