EntroGen, Inc. will participate in the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) 2026 Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington, where the company will highlight its MGMT Methylation Detection Kit and share laboratory experiences evaluating real-time PCR as an approach to MGMT promoter methylation testing.

MGMT promoter methylation is an important molecular biomarker in glioma research. As laboratories evaluate testing methods and workflows, analytical performance, result interpretation, reproducibility, and implementation requirements are important considerations.

At AMP 2026, EntroGen will feature laboratory experiences from a few of its many laboratories. These experiences explore different aspects of MGMT methylation testing, including assay validation, comparison with established methods, and the interpretation of results across testing approaches.

EntroGen’s MGMT Methylation Detection Kit (MGMT-RT44) is a real-time PCR assay designed to detect MGMT promoter methylation in bisulfite-treated DNA, targeting CpG sites 75–86 in the DMR2 region. The assay incorporates an endogenous control and is compatible with multiple real-time PCR instrument platforms, offering laboratories an option to evaluate as part of their molecular testing workflows.

Attendees are invited to meet with the EntroGen team to discuss the assay, review laboratory validation experiences, and explore considerations for evaluating MGMT methylation testing approaches.
