The pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit is an efficient solution for extracting high-quality genomic DNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. Optimized for ease of use and scalability, DNA extracted using this kit is suitable for down-stream applications such as qPCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
In performance evaluations, EntroGen’s pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit demonstrated superior gDNA yields compared to a leading competitor. Genomic DNA was isolated from colorectal cancer (CRC) FFPE specimens across five cases, and yields were measured using both Qubit and EntroGen’s qPCR-based DNA quantification assay (Cat. No. FQA-RT40). The results highlight the kit’s ability to deliver consistent, higher-quality DNA for sensitive molecular analyses.

The pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit offers a straightforward and efficient workflow for extracting high-quality genomic DNA from FFPE tissue specimens. The process is optimized to remove paraffin, reverse formalin cross-links, and release DNA using heat, proteinase K digestion, and magnetic bead-based purification.
The protocol is compatible with high-throughput processing. DNA is bound to magnetic beads, washed to remove impurities, and eluted in a ready-to-use buffer for downstream applications like qPCR and NGS.
All necessary reagents for gDNA isolation from FFPE samples are provided with the exception of 100% ethanol, which is not included.
This protocol also requires a magnetic stand for molecular applications compatible with 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes for molecular applications.
