Gene fusions involving NTRK1, NTRK2, and NTRK3 are critical oncogenic drivers in a wide range of solid tumors, making them essential biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and targeted therapy selection. While these fusions are rare in common cancers such as lung and colorectal cancer (0.1%\u20132%), they are highly prevalent in certain rare tumors, including secretory breast carcinoma, secretory salivary gland carcinoma, and infantile fibrosarcoma (>75%).<\/p>\n

NTRK gene fusions result from chromosomal rearrangements, where the 3′ region of an NTRK gene fuses with the 5′ region of a fusion gene partner. The 5′ fusion partner\u2019s promoter drives the expression of the fusion gene, leading to the production of an oncogenic fusion protein. The identification of NTRK gene fusions is crucial, as samples with these alterations have shown exceptional responses to Trk inhibitor therapies which block Trk signaling to suppress tumor growth.<\/p>\n

The NTRK Fusion Gene Detection Kit is a real-time qPCR-based assay designed for the rapid and sensitive detection of 65 known NTRK fusion variants from FFPE RNA samples. The assay employs gene-specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes, enabling the precise amplification of fusion transcripts.<\/p>\n

This kit includes primer\/probe mix for detection of all variants mentioned above, one-step enzyme mix for cDNA synthesis and PCR detection, as well as validated controls.<\/p>\n
