Mutations in the NRAS gene, a key member of the RAS family of small GTPases, play a crucial role in tumor development by driving uncontrolled cell proliferation through the RAF-MEK-ERK pathway and enhancing cell survival via the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway. Studies have shown that tumors harboring NRAS mutations exhibit reduced responsiveness to EGFR-targeted therapies, highlighting the importance of comprehensive mutation testing for informing therapeutic strategies.<\/p>\n

The NRAS Mutation Analysis Kit is a real-time PCR-based assay designed to detect clinically relevant somatic mutations in the NRAS gene, even in samples containing a mixture of wild-type and mutant DNA.<\/p>\n

Using mutation-specific primers and fluorescent hydrolysis probes, the assay ensures highly specific amplification of mutant variants while also incorporating an internal control gene to verify sample quality.<\/p>\n

The NRAS Mutation Analysis Kit follows a simple and easy to use process. It can be completed in 2 hours and follows a simple straightforward process.<\/p>\n

EntroGen\u02bcs NRAS mutation screening panel requires a real-time PCR instrument capable of detecting VIC and FAM fluorescent probes.<\/p>\n

This test includes reagents required for PCR amplification\/detection, as well as validated reaction controls.<\/p>\n

Columns and reagents for DNA isolation are not included.\u00a0Genomic DNA from FFPE tissues can be extracted using EntroGen pureNA\u00ae Genomic DNA Isolation Kit<\/a>.<\/p>\n
