The pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit is designed for simple and efficient DNA extraction from FFPE tissues, with potential high throughput capabilities and full compatibility for down-stream applications such as qPCR and NGS. Utilizing heat and proteinase K treatment, the pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit is optimized in the removal of paraffin, partial reversal of formalin cross-linking, and release of DNA from fixed tissues. After clean up with DNA binding beads, the concentration of the high purity DNA can be determined by spectrophotometer or nanodrop equipment.
EntroGen’s pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit shows higher gDNA yield than the competitor kit, both measured by Qubit and a qPCR-based method (EntroGen, cat no: FQA-RT40). Genomic DNA was extracted from eight 10uM sections from colorectal cancer (CRC) FFPE clinical specimens from 5 unique cases using EntroGen’s pureNA® Genomic DNA Isolation Kit and a competitor’s FFPE DNA isolation kit according to the manufacturer’s protocol. The figures below summarize and compare the DNA yields for both extraction yields.
Reagents & Materials
All necessary reagents for gDNA isolation from FFPE samples are provided with the exception of 100% ethanol, which is not included.
This protocol also requires a magnetic stand for molecular applications compatible with 1.5ml microcentrifuge tubes for molecular applications.
