Through in-person communications and/or online interactions with our customers and vendors, we collect personal information such as your name, postal address, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address, contact preferences, contact and billing information, transaction history (including order, customer service history) and credit card or other financial informationWe may also ask customers for feedback on our products, as well as pertinent company information (such as types of instruments used, testing capabilities, etc) that helps us understand how to best serve each customer.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is obtained through a printed form that must be completed and signed by the person authorizing the transaction. Credit card, and other financial information, is never stored electronically. We take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to protect your information and make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

 

All Visitors to EntroGen’s Website and Support Panel

While you are visiting our website, we may collect some technical data related to your browsing session such as IP address, Internet Service Provider (ISP), operating system, geographical location, number of visits to our website and the hyperlinks you visited. The information does not identify you personally.  We use such technical data for EntroGen’s own reporting, statistics and website enhancements, as well as for information security purposes.

Login or other tracking information that may identify you through website navigation will be stored for short time periods for technical security, website improvements and customer relationship purposes.

2 – HOW WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will collect personal information by lawful and fair means. Personal information we collect can be gathered through various channels including phone, email, online (social media interaction and/or electronic inquiries), and in-person contact (trade shows, meetings, etc).

We also collect data when customers voluntarily participate in customer satisfaction surveys, place orders for products and services, opt-in for our company newsletter and/or register online for EntroGen events.

 

3 – HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will collect and use personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those purposes specified by us and for other compatible purposes, unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.

In the future EntroGen may create online forums where users can communicate with EntroGen staff and/or customers through public posts and comments, for example, on blogs, chat rooms, bulletin boards or user forums. We are not responsible for confidentiality of the personal information you choose to submit in such public areas.

 

4 – DATA STORAGE AND SHARING

Personal information is stored in databases located on servers, within our Quality Management System, and with third party providers that we work with to monitor customer communication and/or disseminate company information to our customers. We only work with third party providers that maintain strict data policy guidelines and implement procedures to ensure your data is only accessible by EntroGen administrators with security permissions to monitor customer data.

 

Data Security

EntroGen takes security seriously and we are committed to protecting the information we collect.  We will protect personal information by reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.  These safeguards include access controls, passwords, and encryption which follow appropriate security standards.

In instances where you have a password that gives you access to certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We ask you not to share this password with anyone. It is your responsibility to protect the confidentiality of your passwords, account information, and any other access features associated with your personal account.

 

Data Retention

However, please note that opting out will prevent you from receiving email messages regarding updates, improvements, or special offers. If you opt out of such marketing messages, we will continue to send you non-marketing emails, e.g. emails about our business dealings with you if you are the designated person for operational contacts.  We also reserve the right to contact you when we believe it necessary, including where required by law.

Right to be Informed

You have the right to be informed about how we obtain and use your personal information.  This privacy policy provides you with our company’s policy on handling your personal information.

You have the right to ask us to access the personal data we hold about you.  You also have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data and information about who we share it with.  We will make readily available to customers information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

 

Right to Portability

You have the right to ask us for a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine readable format.  You also have the right to have your personal information transferred to another person or third party without hinderance, as long as it is technically feasible.

 

Right to Correction

You have the right to ask us to correct your personal data where it is inaccurate or incomplete.

You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data if you are concerned about the accuracy of the data or how it is being used.

 

Right to Deletion

In certain circumstances, you have the right to ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you.  When appropriate, we will comply with your request within 10 business days.

We may retain some account information related to purchase and service history. This enables us to provide ongoing support regarding prior purchases and services, and is also necessary for accounting, audit and compliance purposes. We may also retain limited backup copies and archival files of your personal information to satisfy our state and federal legal obligations or regulatory requirements, including those set by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA).

Careers at EntroGen

When you choose to apply for a position at EntroGen, please note that you may be taken to a third-party URL and these pages will be branded as EntroGen. The information you provide via the URL will be used solely for the purposes for which it is provided (including the processing of your application) and will be retained for such period as is necessary to comply with EntroGen’s legal and administrative requirements. The HR department at EntroGen is the sole owner of information you submit on this page and it is not shared with anyone outside of this department.
